Community Legal Assistance Sarnia
Provides free legal assistance and information to qualifying clients in the areas of Employment Insurance, Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program Act, Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, Tenant Protection Act, Criminal Injuries Compensation, Discrimination cases under the Ontario Human Rights Code and Canadian Human Rights Act, information on Legal Aid Appeals, some notarizing and commissioning of documents. Also provides public legal education in the areas of law described above, community development assistance and conducts law reform activities. The office is funded by the Legal Aid Ontario and is staffed by lawyers, a community legal worker and support staff.
